Hope 4 Autism
Our Mission
Empower Individuals
with Autism through
Vocational and Social Opportunities.
Our Story
In the autumn of 2011, I stumbled upon an article in Parade Magazine that would set the stage for a transformational journey. The narrative followed the life of a young woman with autism who was aging out of school, and her parents were anxious about her future. This resonated with my husband, Dave, and me, as we shared a special connection with our two godsons, both navigating the unknowns of autism. Armed with a background in special education, I felt God leading us to delve into the realm of possibilities awaiting teens and adults with autism.
Fast forward to 2015, and the seeds of change began to sprout. Dave and I, alongside Jessica Harmon, embarked on a mission to create a 501(c)3 organization. Our vision was clear: to empower individuals with autism through vocational and social opportunities. This platform would not only enable them to gain valuable work experience but also foster the development of essential social skills.
With gratitude for God's guidance, we've witnessed the graduation of 67 individuals from the vocational training program and 14 from the PEERS program between 2015 and 2024. As we continue on this journey that God has invited us into, we eagerly anticipate His ongoing growth and blessings.

"Hope 4 Autism is an amazing organization that I feel grateful to get to work with each year.
I’ve been a proud supporter for over 10 years and I truly feel that I get more joy from helping them than they get benefit from my sponsorship. They have amazing people supporting an amazing cause and are a true asset to our community."

"Hope 4 Autism has revolutionized the way local families, who have children on the spectrum, can prepare for adulthood. Before this ministry opened its doors, there was virtually no training for autistic teens in our area to help them transition into the workforce and adjust to life after school. Hope 4 Autism has provided pathways to employment and self-sustenance for those in their program and a community of support and encouragement for the families involved. On top of it all they are Christ-centered. Everything they do is within the context of eternal worth and purpose. I cannot be more blessed to support them and partner with them."

"It is an honor to support the services of Hope 4 Autism. Our family knows firsthand of their splendid work with this special group of people in our community. They have blessed us, so we consider it a delight to back them as they continue to be a blessing to others."
